Notre maison

Our home is a restored 1800s farm house with accompanying barn. It is located in Southport Connecticut which is adjacent to Westport Connecticut. Southport is located on Long Island Sound and is about 1 hour by train or car to New York City Grand Central Station. Our home is adjacent to 50 acres of open space (woods with trails great for mountain biking, walking, jogging etc..). Also, close are other hiking trails in nearby towns. In Westport connecticut there is terrific shopping and in Southport, Westport, Norwalk and Fairfield there are great restaurants and beaches.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We have lived in our home for about ten years and have restored the house ourselves. My husband designed the renovations for both our house and the accompanying barn. The house is about 2800 square feet and the barn is about 3000 square feet. The barn will not be available for trade as it is my husband's work studio. We have two young girls (ages 3 and 7) and a play set in the back yard, park about ten minutes walking distance and a small underground pool plus gardens. It is very peaceful and quiet and in the summer you can hear the crickets and birds during the day. My husband children and I are outdoor enthusiasts so we hike and run and canoe. Also, we do have a canoe that can be used for exploring some of our rivers.

We live on a windy street with woods and a pond at the end of the street. Our home is next to open space. We do not have sidewalks but our road is quiet and in the summer, spring and fall people walk by or jog or bike ride There is a little village at the end of the road (10 mins by walking) where you can purchase coffee, ice cream, go to dinner, etc.. In the summer there is a farmer's market. About 10 minutes to the village there is a grocery store, the beach and a historic library great for reading a book by the fire and with wonderful children's library programs. Southport is known as the "gold coast" and many celebrities reside here as many people commute from Southport to New York City for work.
