Notre maison

Our home is a lovely, bright, clean craftsman with lots of windows, window benches, a great room (kitchen/living room in one), and an entertainment center room, 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. The house is quite private, surrounded by gardens and a basalt amphitheatre, which gives it a feeling of being a retreat in the city. There are outdoor rooms to choose from--patios, an outdoor fireplace, or gardens. We have a Subaru Wagon or Jetta Wagon, 2 mountain bikes and an electric bicycle.

We will take some lovely outdoor pictures as soon as the flowers appear! Ditto for the outside of the house--it's still quite wintry here in early April.

If you come for a "hosting," we can all stay at our family lake house during the weekdays in nearby Idaho--an hour away--on Hayden lake. We have jetskis, canoes, kayaks, a windsurfer and mountain bikes there for funsies.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a couple in our early 50s. We love the outdoors and adventure. Our two children are a 19 year old boy and a 17 year old girl. We are both teachers and Sarah writes books on world religions for young adults. We have traveled extensively, and we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for our current president's wreaking havoc on the world. We are neat and take very good care of our living space.

Our home is a 15 minute walk to downtown Spokane, but there are also quite a few restaurants and bakeries in the neighborhood. Spokane is a turn-of-the century charmer--small town charm with big-city amenities and culture. The weather in the Northwest in July and August is unsurpassed--sunny and warm in the day, cool and refreshing at night. No mosquitoes! Spokane is, as we say here, not far from all good things in the Northwest. There are 50 lakes within 75 miles; a number of national parks, the US Rockies and the Canadian Rockies are all within driving distance; Seattle is 4 1/2 hours away, Portland is 6 hours; British Columbia is 2 1/2 hours to the north. Fishing, hiking, swimming, mountaineering, biking (lots of world class rails-to-trails bike paths), golfing and more.
