Notre maison

Our home is located on 5 wooded acres at the foot of South Pittsburg Mountain. Our front deck overlooks the large front yard and has a view of distant mountains. The house has a living room, kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, and the finished basement has an office and a crafts room that can also function as two more bedrooms. There are French doors from the kitchen to the back porch, which has a barbecue grill and porch swing. There is a large back deck and a swimming pool. There is also a private picnic area a short walk into the woods behind the the house. There are deer in the yard nibbling in my herb garden regularly! The house is clean and cozy and very comfortable.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Mike and Kathy, in our early 50s with 4 grown children. Mike has his own heating and AC business, and Kathy works part time as a nurse. In addition, we own a small soap and lotion business, making all natural health and beauty products out of our home. Mike is an avid bicycler, and Kathy likes music (the house is full of dulcimers--give it a try!) and crafts (there is a large weaving loom downstairs.) We lived in Nashville for many years and now we love the peace and beauty and charm of rural life. We have never swapped homes before but we love to travel and look forward to this new experience. We would prefer to exchange in the fall of 2009.

Our house is a mile outside of a typical small southern town, South Pittsburg, Tennessee. The town is located on the Tennessee River, with water recreation available on Nickajack Lake. We are in the beautiful and scenic Sequatchie Valley, a great place to ride bikes (you are welcome to use our bicycles.) 25 miles down the interstate is Chattanooga, known as Scenic City, with minor league baseball, a world class aquarium, great shopping and restaurants. We are also less than two hours from Nashville and Atlanta and about 2 1/2 hours from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. From our home it's a short drive to all outdoor activities, lots of hiking, caving, camping, boating, and climbing. You would need a car to really explore this beautiful area, and we will consider including our Jeep with the exchange.
