Notre maison

Gorgeous, recently completed (November 2007), ultra modern home, designed by well known Harvard-grad architect, specializing in minimalist design and environmentally-friendly building practices. We are in love with our new home! It feels like a retreat, despite being in the center of the city. The bathrooms are like little spa's where you can escape from the world and relax in a warm tub. There are loads of great spaces to showcase our collection of art from India, East Asia and South America. The house also lends itself well to dinner parties as people enjoy the way the open spaces connect with each other throughout our home. You don't have to turn on a single light during the day as the space is beautifully designed to bring in natural light from all angles. Each room in the house has been arranged with painstakingly selected pieces of furniture and art, many custom made for the spaces. The master bedroom has it's own level, a large extra-long, extra deep tub with a silent water spout, and it's own little balcony. Our garden has a lovely extra-large day bed from Thailand where you can lay and enjoy the long summer days. In the winter the house is cozy and warm, walk around barefoot because the house has floor heating in the home theatre (where we have a 42" flat screen TV and a DVD library), the office and the master bath. Truly a lovely place to come home to. If Seattle wasn't such a cosmopolitan and fun city, we'd never leave the house!

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are 32 and 34, I am an international business consultant specializing in consumer products and the entertainment industry, an avid art collector from my travels (and from home) and am a native of Ecuador. My partner is a self employed software developer, who lived in Michigan, Colorado and San Francisco before moving here. I have also lived in Los Angeles, Indiana, New York, Colorado and Oregon...and both of us agree that Seattle (and the nearby countryside and islands) is the most beautiful place, and the best kept secret in the US. We are always thinking up new business plans and fun, creative ideas that will allow us to travel and meet interesting people, enjoy beautiful art and architecture and hear interesting new stories.

Our location is ideal, and we're not the only ones who think so...the architect and his wife are our neighbors! We're very centrally located, in an urban, culturally diverse and ecclectic neighborhood about 7 blocks from the big stadiums (baseball and american football) and the International District of Seattle (the south end of downtown), formerly known as Chinatown. Some of the best Asian restaurants in the Pacific Northwest (including Vancouver, British Columbia) are close to us! All the major tourist attractions are just a few minutes away: The Experiance Music Project, the Space Needle (Seattle Center), Olympic Scuplture Park, the Arboretum, Lake Union...and we're 2 minutes from the entrance to the interstate that will take you to the mountains (to ski in the winter, hike and swim in the summer) in 35-45 minutes. Snoqualmie/Alpental is the nearest ski resort and it's 45 minutes away. Alternatively, if you want to explore the hundreds of islands off the coast of Seattle, we are about 3 minutes from the nearest ferry terminal, where you can walk or drive on board, and discover the beautiful islands that are only minutes away by ferry. Basically, we're 2 minutes from the Puget Sound (entry from the Pacific Ocean) and 30 minutes from the mountains...we have it all!
