Notre maison

Colorfully decorated 2-bedroom house on a quiet street. Hardwood floors. One bedroom has a full bed, the other a twin bed; both bedrooms have desks. The gardener comes once a week, the house cleaner twice a month. The landscaped back yard has a wooden deck and sun umbrella and is fully fenced in.

Please NOTE: The house is not available during the summers.

I have just retired from teaching in the English Department at the University of California, Los Angeles. I am a critic, a magazine editor (LANA TURNER: a journal of poetry and opinion), and a poet and am working on my first novel. I like travel, new scenes, new people, art museums. A view is a plus. i keep my house need and will do the same in a home exchange.
I now have a 2 year old small dog, took him to Berlin for 5 weeks, but may leave him home on shorter visits.

The house is in the Sunset Park area of Santa Monica, a safe and settled neighborhood. Local attractions: the Getty museum, Santa Monica pier on the Pacific, Venice boardwalk, Frank Gehry's Disney Hall, Los Angeles Museum of Arts, ocean restaurants, beaches, the Santa Monica Promenade for clothes shopping and people watching, a farmer's market every Saturday one block away.
