Notre maison

Lovely, well kept airy island home, located just 45 minutes from Southwest International Airport. This vacation home is both air conditioned and heated.

This home has a full flight of stairs in the front and back to gain access.

My home is situated in The Dunes, a premier golf and tennis community featuring a heated pool and restaurant facility. Just a short walk or bikeride to the pool or an short, scenic bike or car ride to beaches. Bikes are available for you.

This three bedroom house includes three bedrooms, two with king-sized beds and one with twin beds. It also has two full bathrooms, one en-suite.

The floor plan is open and sunny: a large great room, full dining room and a large fully equiped, modern kitchen.

I would prefer not having children in the exchange party but would consider older, well behaved children.

House cleaning is available at your expense.

  1. My name is Joan and I have three adult grown children. I have been widowed a number of years. I have no pets. I am a very active senior and enjoy traveling, card games, reading, cooking, walking, kayaking and biking.

I am looking forward to experiencing aspects of European life, hopefully by participating in some community activities while visiting and also by taking many trips around the country.

Sanibel is famous for its beautiful, white sand beaches, abundant seashells and the vast array of wildlife that calls this Gulf coast island home.

Sanibel Island is a famous vacation spot for families and romantics, offering the slow pace of island life. Residents and visitors alike enjoy biking along protected paths, observing birds and wildlife in the Ding Darling National Wildlfe Refuge, attending cultural events, and enjoying fresh seafood at one of the islands superb restaurants.

Shopping on Sanibel is always tempting and visitors love the wonderful variety of art galleries, as well as the historic village. Water sports are also abundant, from fishing to parasailing, we have it all, including our world reknown beaches strewn with seashells.

Sanibel is an environmentally protected barrier island. Sanibel Island measures roughly 12 miles long and five miles across at its widest.

Sanibel Island has two main roads that parallel each other. Periwinkle Way, located at the four-way stop immediately past the Visitor Center, is the main thoroughfare. West of the causeway, it leads to the island’s shopping and dining district. Follow it east and you’ll pass a quieter commercial section, ending up at the Sanibel Lighthouse and its beach. Gulf Drive, the other main route, roves past resorts, beaches, and homes at the water’s edge. It is segmented into East, Middle, and West Gulf Drive.

Periwinkle Way links, via Palm Ridge Road or Tarpon Bay Road, to Sanibel-Ca.
