Notre maison

Sweet condo in 100 y.o. "triple decker" house in historic Salem. Quiet, sunny living room at the front of the house with beautiful bay window, fireplace and pullout, full-size sofa. Pretty bedroom with queen bed at the back of the house with view onto neighbors' shaded backyard (beautiful morning sunrises). In the middle of the house: clean, modern kitchen, office area, and dining area, washer and dryer in basement. House is small and cozy, best for a couple or a couple and child. Five other units in the house: all owners quiet, pleasant and respectful, with quiet, friendly pets.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am single, 68 years old, and am a counselor/psychotherapist in private practice in Salem. I studied English language and literature in college and have an ongoing interest in English medieval and Renaissance history, but have been to Great Britain only once, long ago. I am eager to return and do some historical sightseeing. I did a wonderfully successful home exchange last summer with a couple in Paris -- they loved Salem and Boston, and everything went so smoothly. I'd love to repeat the experience in 2012.

Salem is 16 miles from historic and completely wonderful city of Boston, which is easily accessible by car or public transportation, including a GREAT walk-to ferry in the summer. Salem is famous in colonial and early American history, and has a wonderful museum, a pretty harbor, and many wonderful historic houses of different eras. Its streets are great for scenic strolls, and my condo is within easy walking distance to organized tours, movie theater and great restaurants. Within easy drive by car, you can experience the picturesque New England seacoast towns of Marblehead (10 minutes away), and Gloucester and Rockport (45 minutes drive).
