Notre maison

Our home is near the center of Sacramento, California in a lovely Community called Curtis Park. Most of the homes, like ours, are Arts & Crafts California Bungalows built in the 1920's. The house also has a family room, living and dining room. Master Bedroom has a California King (Big). Other two bedrooms have a Queen Futon in one and a twin bed in the other. There is a large Sofa in the Family room. We have two large tv's, one a big plasma screen, a DVD/CD/Home theater system, a computer with access to the Internet, a large vegetable garden that offers produce year round. For relaxing after your side trips there is a nice back yard deck with a spa and an outdoor stereo system. You can see more pictures on my homepage.

Sacramento is the Capitol of California. We are within walking distance of two parks, grocery stores, coffee shopes a German/French style bakery (Best cakes in the world) and many restaurants of almost every style. Sacramento is about a 1-2 hour drive from, the Pacific ocean, San Francisco, the Wine country (Napa and Sonoma Valley), the gold country (where the gold rush started in 1849) and the Mountains (Lake Tahoe, Reno). While there is no snow during the Winter, we are a 90 minute drive to good cross country and downhill skiing in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Drives of about 3 hours will get you to the volcanic Lassen park or Yosemite with its beautiful waterfalls. Sacramento is on both the Sacramento and American River. There is boating, hiking and over 30 miles of a bikeway along the river. We have friendly neighbors who would love to meet foreign travelers. Other Sacramento Highlights: - One of the worlds largest train museums. - Old Sacramento is an area by the river that has been renovated and re-creats the Sacramento of the 1850's Gold Rush town. - Sutters Fort - the renovated fort that Gen. Sutter (From Swizerland) who founded Sacramento. - The second most Tree populated city in the World (Paris is First). - Mild Winters (if the temperature drops below 0 C we have frost alerts !) Typical is 10 - 15 C but can be warmer. More details can be found on our homepage under the links tab. See the Homepage.
