Notre maison

This is our custom-designed 1-1/2 story hand-scribed log home. It includes a great room with fireplace, library/dining room, large family kitchen, mudroom, and master suite downstairs, along with 2 guest suites and an open loft/TV room upstairs. The vaulted ceiling soars to 23 feet in the great room with large windows looking out to the meadows and mountains. It sits on 2-1/2 acres and adjoins common property in a small private development (36 lots) in SW Colorado, that includes a private pond, clubhouse, and riding trails. The view from our large deck to both the San Juan and Cimarron mountains is spectacular. This is a sit-down, put-your-feet-up-and-relax house that we build to share with family and friends. Y'all come!

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. John is a retired professor of business management. Lana is a nurse and consultant in managed health care. We have two grown, married sons who both live in California, and two beautiful granddaughters. John enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking and motorcycle riding, and woodworking. Lana likes horse riding, hiking and fly fishing and is an avid collector of buttons. We both enjoy reading, travel (visited more than 25 countries on 5 continents), meeting new folks, and entertaining in our home.

Ridgway Colorado is an historic town that enjoyed its first life during the silver mining "rush" in the late 19th century. During the last 20 years or so, it has experiences new life and has grown to a population of more than 2000 -- an enchanting and eclectic mix of real cowboys, merchants, professionals, and semi-retired folks. Sitting at an altitude of 7,000 feet, the weather is pleasant at all times of year -- with high summer temperatures in the 80s(f), and much cooler evenings 60). Ridgway State Park and reservoir is only 5 miles away. We are 10 minutes from Ouray (Little Switzerland), 25 from Montrose (shopping) and 40 from Telluride (world class skiing and summer festivals). Outdoor activities of all types abound -- horse riding, hiking, mountaineering, fishing, boating, skiing, mountain biking, gold panning, 4-wheeling -- or just sit and watch the beautiful sunsets.
