Notre maison

Our house is a relatively new, Prairie House by one of Frank Lloyd Wright's students. We have 3 bedrooms that would be available, 2Â½ baths, large living room-dinning area combination with windows all around, library with computer and internet access, and galley kitchen. The deck on the east and the front porch are favored places to watch birds and other wild life.

We are a family of 4: AJ is a marine biologist, Jean a naturalist and artist, and Bill and John toddlers. We enjoy all types of outdoor activities as well as the symphony, art, and theater. We expect to be in Copenhagen for meetings one week in August, and we would like to explore options to extend our stay before and or after.

Our 1Â½ wooded acres are surrounded by 700 acres of undeveloped park land with miles of trails. The park occupies most of the peninsula between New York Bay, the Ocean, and a salt water "river" estuary. The quarter mile walk down a trail, past a meadow with deer and an osprey nest, to the river is a frequent evening outing. On the other hand, the beach (with historic lighthouse and coastal batteries) at the National Park is 10 minutes, restaurants and shops are 15 minutes, and we are 50 minute by ferry from Manhattan (55 minutes to 34th Street). (For staying late, the train or a car are required but these are longer trips.) Philadelphia and Cape May are 2 hours by car.
