Notre maison

We have a nicely appointed air-conditioned home with a swimming pool located on a quiet cul de sac in a lovely residentual community called Burnt Store Isles in Punta Gorda. The house has a large master bedroom with a kingsize bed and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, toilet and two washbowls. There is a second bedroom with a queen-size bed and view of the canal and a third bedroom with a single bed with a view of the pool and canal. There is a bathroom that services these two bedrooms with an entrance to the pool area. There is a gracious living room and dining room as well as a large family room with kitchen table. The kitchen is newly remodeled with all the amenities including garbage disosal, dishwasher, refrigerator and freezer, stove, and microwave/convection oven. A laundry room with washer and dryer has a second microwave oven. The linai and swimming pool area is screened and has patio furniture--a pleasant place for relaxation by the pool. Come enjoy our home and our warm and sunny weather.

We are Craig and Dorothy Anderson. We moved from Chicago to Florida when we retired three years ago. We are raising a granddaughter, Stephanie, who is now 14 years old. We love to travel and would love for her to experience life in another country. We lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for one year when Craig was attending the university there. During that time we traveled extensively on our Italian motor scooter and stayed in youth hostels. Forty years later we want a bit more comfort. This is our first house exchange and we are looking for a couple or family that will treat our home with the same conscientious care we would give their home.

We live in a residential community of newer homes called Burnt Store Isles. Our home is located on a cul de sac with virtually no traffice. There is a shopping area about a half mile from our home with supermarket, restaurants and other stores. Punta Gorda is a community of about 14,000 situated on Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River. Good restuarants, Fishermen's Village and boat trips on Charlotte Harbor are local attractions. There are numerous golf courses in Punta Gorda and neighboring Port Charlotte. If you want the beach, a drive to Englewood is only about 20 miles. We are about 100 miles (2+ hour drive) from Orlando (Disneyworld, Seaworld, Universal Studios, and Cyprus Gardens). Ft. Myers is only 25 miles to the south, Naples is 50 miles, and the Florida east coast (Ft. Lauderdale and Miami) is about 3 hours away.
