Notre maison

Beautiful sunsets behind the Cascade Mt. range from the large glass windows and spacious decks in this split level, 10 year old home with radiant floor heat, pellet stove and air conditioning. Master bedroom has queen bed, lower bedroom has queen and there is a twin hide-a-bed. Outdoor greenery is landscaped and sprinkled for easy care. House is on 6.8 acres, so lots of space and closest town for shopping is a 13 mile drive. The house is located on a gravel road, 1/2 mile from the paved roads leading into various communities.

I am a retired health care professional age 68 and live alone with my mixed breed border collie; I have a male traveling companion who is also retired and age 73. We both enjoy golf, skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, snorkeling and the Arts. I have traveled extensively but never have done a home exchange, so thought I would give it a try. Usually I do not like to be gone longer than 3 weeks, so that would be the ideal length of time to exchange.

Central Oregon is known for low rainfall, moderate temps, lots of outdoor recreation and hiking/skiing galore. Bend(75,000 pop.) and Redmond(26,000) are both easy drives and have plenty of fine restaurants, brew-pubs, movies and live entertainment/theater. The immediate neighbors are mostly retired, and many enjoy the outdoors. There is a destination resort just 2 miles down the road with an 18 hole private golf course, but an excellent restaurant open to the public. Central Oregon has about 25 public golf links!!
