Beautiful 5+ bedroom home with all amenities, including swimming pool. Home is less than 1 year old in a rural setting with pastoral views of neighboring farms. Huge Master bedroom/bath with 3 other upstairs bedrooms, one of which has private bathroom. Basement bedroom with walk-out entrance directly to the swimming pool. Large kitchen with granite counters and every type of appliance. Large farmhouse style kitchen table and screen porch overlooking the pool for wonderful evenings swimming after a day of sightseeing. Big-screen television, internet hook-up, and lots of games for kids of all ages.

Ann and Bill are in our mid-forties and are a busy fun-loving family of six. We have 3 girls aged 6, 8, and 10, and a son aged 15, so our home is very kid friendly. Bill is a retired military officer who works in the DC area. Ann is a homemaker and substitute teacher at our girls' Catholic school. We have lived for 5 years in both Italy and Austria and traveled throughout Europe. We have a lifelong dream to visit Ireland for an extended period of time. We really think our home is the perfect fit for a family who wishes to tour the East Coast without being crowded into a smaller home. We have pets, so we will consider allowing visitors to bring their pet. We would also like to discuss swapping our large Suburban (Range Rover) for use of a car at our destination. We will also arrange for friends to check on our guests and take care of pool maintenance and help with any questions.

We are 6 miles outside Manassas, Va, which is a very historic area near Washington DC. Manassas is a very historic community where the American Civil War began and the battlefields are a few minutes away. Easy drive or train/metro ride to DC for sightseeing all day and then relaxing around the pool in the country at night. Blue Ridge Mountains and many historic American sites are within a couple of hours: Williamsburg, Charlottesville, Gettysburg, Virginia Beach, Outer Banks, New York, etc. There are several golf courses nearby and tennis courts at a local high school. Our home is surrounded by small horse farms and gentlemen farms. This area is one of the few remaining rural areas around Washington DC that is close enough for daily sightseeing.
