Notre maison

Our house 101 years old. It's spacious, sunny, and clean, with a view of the Hudson River. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms and one WC. Ground Floor: Sun Room with large TV, Living Room with Fireplace, Dining Room, Kitchen, and Water Closet. 2nd Floor: Three bedrooms, and one bathroom. 3rd Floor: 2 Bedrooms, and 2 Bathrooms. We also have a laundry room in the Basement. Outside is a large, new slate patio and garden (very private) fully furnished with outdoor furniture and a barbecue grill. There is always a breeze off of the river. The bathrooms are all new, the kitchen cabinetry is older, but the appliances are new. It's a very comfortable house in summer or winter, with a working fireplace.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Ed is a Real Estate broker in New York City. Janet is a Speech and Language Pathologist specializing in teaching children who are hard of hearing. (Our sons will be away at summer camp, if we exchange in July or August) Our sons are 17, 15, and 11 years of age. All three boys love the ocean and are excellent swimmers and body boarders. We spend quite a lot of time at the beach in the Summer and love to travel to foreign places. Ed loves to hike and bike also. Since we work for ouselves, we are flexible about when and for how long we can exchange.

We live on a private road in the village of Irvington, New York, 2 blocks from the shopping street. There are restaurants, shops, a post office, cafes, and the train station, all within a three minute walk. It's a beautiful and historic village on the Hudson River, in Westchester County, and a very quick and easy commute to Manhattan either by train or by car. It's one of the nicest areas in suburban New York. Irvington is great for outdoor lovers, with miles of hiking and biking trails, near private and public golf courses, and tennis courts. We have two parks on the river with views of Manhattan. Skiing is within a 2 hour drive, the ocean beaches are a one hour drive, and of course New York City is so close.Although we are so near to New York, we're also close to many historic museums-restorations, which you can see at http://www.hudsonvalley.org/
