Notre maison

We have a nice roomy 2 BR apt newly renovated with a washer/dryer in the basement. One bedroom has been turned into an office but can easily be transformed into a 2nd bedroom. We have a lovely view of Cathedral St. John the Divine (Largest Gothic cathedral in the world!) and are a block away from Central Park. The apartment is relatively quiet with very friendly neighbors. (some are faculty from neighboring Barnard College)

Localisation

Quartier

We are 1 block from Central Park West and a five-min. walk to the Columbia University Campus. We are very close to "Museum Mile" on 5th Avenue. It is also extremely convenient to Times Square (10 minutes by subway!), Chelsea, Greenwich Village etc. We are one block from two train lines (b,c), three blocks from another (1/9) and there are several convenient buses that stop right on our block. This neighborhood is cited all over as one of the "hippest" around; restaurants/bars/galleries are all leaving commercial touristy Soho/East Village and coming our way. Plus, as we are blocks away from Columbia University (my husband is a professor there) there is a lot of energy and excitement from the campus community.
