Notre maison

We offer a beautiful, cozy 3 story 1850 wooden clapboard house with mostly original features. This historic house has lots of character and original wide wooden flooring and a beautiful green yard (with swingset)on the Mamaroneck river. The kitchen is newly renovated.

My name is Truike and my husband is Ian.We are a family with 2 children (6 year old boy/girl twins:Ari and Bloeme). I am a music/movement teacher at the United Nations School and my husband is a fund coordinator for a hospital in Manhatten. I am Dutch and my husband Ian is from Guyana. We love nature, culture and of course traveling. This will be our second home exchange the first one in France was a great succes.We would love to do an exchange in the Netherlands this winter to visit our family. Please contact us. The location is ideal: Mamaroneck Village is close to Manhatten (a 5 min walk to a 40 min. train ride on the Metro North) and 1 block away from our scenic harbor,beach and the village main shopping street. Our house is located next to the river (has an outdoor swingset and is ideal for a couple with kids (we have 6 year old twins). If you like to combine culture with relaxation we can offer you our homy historical place with central air,fresh sea breeze and hammock... While winter is beautiful with lots of snow and skiing possibilities in the area.Mamaroneck is a very friendly and safe town with lots of terraces, a movie theater and everything is in walking distance. A 5 min drive will lead you to Rye Playland and Boardwalk/skating casino.
