Notre maison

Our Georgian-style red brick home is large and very comfortable with antique furniture, paintings and prints. Downstairs, the stone-flored foyer opens onto the living room, staircase, dining room and 1/2 guest bathroom. Through the dining room is the well-equipped kitchen which opens onto a beautiful small patio and garden. The living room includes a large library and a grand piano. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master bedroom's bath is en suite. One of the bedrooms is used as a study with washer and dryer behind folding doors, and a couch that folds out into a gueen-size bed. The third bedroom has a single bed with a trundle, so it will sleep 2. All are nicely furnished. There are 4 color televisions with cable and 4 stereos, as well as an alarm system. The study has internet service, copier/printer/scanner and fax machine.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Richard and I are in our 60's, and my precious mom has just turned 90! I am the development manager for a non-profit, and Richard is retired. We have 3 precious cats who can board elsewhere for your visit, if you like. I have had many house exchanges over the past 15 years within the United States and to several European countries - all of them very succeeful! Richard, Mom and I love to travel, to sight-see, and to sample the delicious foods in other countries.

Ideally located next to the New Orleans Country Club and very near Interstate-10, 15 minutes from the historic architecture and fine dining of the French Quarter and Garden District, the jazz clubs on Frenchmen Street, the Fair Grounds Race Course - site of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Mississippi River, Lake Ponthartrain, and world-class Audubon Park and Zoo. We are within walking distance of one of the most famous historic above-ground cemeteries - Metairie Cemetery, and City Park, home of the New Orleans Museum of Art, golf courses, tennis courts, nature trails, children's amusement park, etc. From our central location, it is easy to visit many beautiful plantation houses upriver, as well as lovely beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
