Notre maison

Our Bluff House is a two-bedroom home situated on a lush, wooded acre overlooking the Cumberland River.

The home is located in the historic Inglewood neighborhood northeast of downtown Nashville. It's a short 10-minute drive to downtown, and we're also just across the river from the Opryland area. In fact, our place is no more than 20 minutes to anywhere you'd want to visit in the Nashville area.

The house is set off the road for complete privacy - there's no need for curtains on most of the windows, and there's an open floor plan, so the home almost has a rustic-chic feel. It was recently renovated with two beautifully tiled, fully equipped bathrooms.

Out the door and across the back yard, you’ll find a private terrace situated on a sheer bluff 150 feet above the Cumberland River, with panoramic views of a pastoral setting. The bluff faces east, with beautiful sunrises and cool, softly lit sunset skies without direct sun. Our "Bluff Time" every evening is an event, as neighboring bluff dwellers emerge to enjoy each other's company and the vista.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Beth & Jeff. Jeff is self-employed as a graphic designer and also is a musician. He plays stand-up bass, guitar, piano, and has also played the banjo for a few years. Beth works as personal assistant and reservationist for NashTrash Tours, a crazy, hilarious tour with two fun-loving ladies on a Big Pink Bus (nashtrash.com). We're very lucky that both our work situations are very flexible.

We're in our 40s, have no children and do not smoke. We have a large dog named Chester, but he would probably visit his best friend during any house exchanges. We're also open to hosting during a non-simultaneous exchange.

We'd love to tour the European countryside, but also want to explore other parts of the world. We'd also enjoy seeing other areas of the US, but prefer a mountain or oceanside locale meant for relaxation...isn't that what a vacation should be?

Localisation

Quartier

The quiet neighborhood — with its lazy, winding streets, tall oaks and poplar trees — is a peaceful setting uncommon for a neighborhood so close to a major metropolitan area.

Nearby East Nashville is a 5-minute drive, and provides unique eateries and gathering places of all kinds. Margot Cafe, 3 Crow Restaurant & Bar, the Lipstick Lounge, Alley Cat Bar & Grill, and Sweet 16th Bakery are just a few of the growing number of hot spots popping up all over East Nashville.

It's also just a five-minute drive across the river to attend the Grand Ole Opry, or to visit the amazing Opryland Hotel.

Ten minutes in the other direction and you're downtown, where you can visit the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Wildhorse Saloon, the Ryman Auditorium and many other historic sites.

There's also lots more to see and do in Nashville. We'd love to share what we love best about living here.
