Notre maison

We live in a small but very cute stilt house in a quiet beach neighborhood. The front of the house is a great room with a cathedral ceiling. Large windows let in lots of Florida light. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with a king (Sleep Number!). We can set up an additional twin if you need it. The best part of the house is the deck, which wraps around two sides of the house. It gets lots of afternoon sun and catches the breeze. You can't quiiiiite see the sea from there but you know it is very close!

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. **We've just found out we are having twins! They are due Aug. 25 (2009). So we can't travel for a while. But if you like our place, keep us in mind for the future. We'd love to have a pair of little glopbe-trotters!** My husband is a newspaper reporter and I am a newspaper features copy editor. We love to travel and there are many more parts of the world we'd like to see. We like the "slow travel" method of going to a place and staying there awhile so you can really get to know it, rather than hopping through 5 countries in 6 days or some such. So we think a home exchange would be perfect. If you're looking for a relaxing beach vacation, make us an offer!

The neighborhood is a lazy residential one. To walk to the beach takes less than 5 minutes down a quiet street. There are mostly older (1940s) ground-level cottages in the area. Ours is one of the few newer homes and one of the few built on stilts to avoid flooding. There are some restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the trolley can take you up to Clearwater if you want to go. You can get to Tampa or St. Petersburg in an easy drive, where there are lots of shops, museums, attractions, etc. But I like to stay in my little town and enjoy the beach environs!
