Notre maison

Our home feels like a place in the country. We have large sandstone cliffs directly behind the house, and a fantastic view. Beaches are withing 30 minutes driving, and hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing as close as 5 minutes.
The upstairs is devoted to the master bedroom, which has a king size bed. Downstairs are three kids' rooms with full size beds, one with a bunk bed, and an office. The two girls' bedrooms are detached from the house. We have satellite TV and internet.
The pool is above-ground, and we have pool service. We have two very sweet dogs, whom we could board, or we could arrange for a trade in pet care if you like.

We are Sabine,43, actress, born and raised in Germany, and Roger,50, American, entrepreneur. We have four children. We love skiing, snowboarding, golfing, mountain biking, rock climbing, and hiking and swimming, as well as yoga, music and art. For our summer vacation we are looking for a place by the water or with a pool. An exchange for the summer of 2008 in Italy, South of France, or Spain on the beach would be wonderful. We would also really love to go skiing in Colorado, Utah, Tahoe, Mammoth, or Whistler during Winter Break, Spring Break or the week of President's Day in February.

Our place is on the outskirts of the San Fernando Valley, and very quiet. 5 minutes down the road is a quaint little town with a market, a restaurant, and a cafe with a beautiful yoga studio.

Malibu beaches are 30 min. drive, and it's 45 minutes to Santa Monica, Hollywood, downtown Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills. Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios are about 20 minutes away, Disneyland 45 min., Santa Barbara is a 80 min. drive.

Las Vegas, Yosemite National Park, Hearst Castle, San Diego and the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Joshua Tree National Park and other great destinations are all within a few hours of driving.
