Notre maison

Our lake house is warm and relaxing. We have two bedrooms, one with a double bed and a baby-bed, one with a king size bed. The great room overlooks the lake and is very spacious. There are a lot of games and books, and a cozy hard wood stove. There is a kitchen, 2 full baths and a wonderful notty pine porch with lake view. Both the greatroom and porch have additional beds. A private courtyard with an amazing view of the mountains and lake. Path leads to dock with kyack, canoe and sailboat. Sandy beach block down.

We are Robynn and Alex, a married couple with three children (8, 10, 12). We are both professionals and enjoy travelling when able to get away. We have not done a home exchange before but some one approached us who saw our lake house from accross the lake. His wife is from Ireland and fell in love with our house. We love to travel as a family and are looking to go to Namibia this summer. The lake house is our second home, and live in a house near Albany in the burbs.

Lake Luzerne is a wonderful, clean mountain lake (non-motorized). It is peaceful and quiet at the lake house but there is always something to do. Hiking in the Adirondacks, fishing, kyacking, horseback riding, swimming, white water rafting (Hudson River goes through town) all right in Lake Luzerne. Lake freezes in winter, so ice skating is a must. Gore and West mountain close by for skiing. Lake George (10 min) where the water sports are plenty and spend a day power boating. Water parks, six flags, and adventure park for those with teens. Saratoga Springs (20 min) where you can stroll in the village, visit amazing restruants and spend a day at the Saratoga track in the summer. Summer concerts, NYC ballet and Philidelphia Orchestra are always great at SPAC. 3 hours from NYC, Boston or Montreal.
