Notre maison

Our three-level home has incredible ocean views from nearly all rooms...the view stretches from San Diego to the south, to Palos Verdes to the north. From our deck, we also watch the sun set over Catalina Island. We have three bedrooms, (with two king beds and a full bed) and a bonus room that can be used as a fourth bedroom (with a queen fold-out). The eat-in kitchen is large, with a comfortable family room adjacent. The living and dining rooms are lovely, offering sit-down white-water views. The home has 35 stairs from top to bottom.

We are Dirk and Mary, both mid-fifties, with three adult children. Mary is a V.P. for a local healthcare organization, and Dirk owns his own insurance agency. Our son, who lives in SE Portland, Oregon, is getting married there in July. Because other relatives will be traveling to the wedding, we thought that a home exchange might be a great way for us to stay together, in a comfortable environment. We have not exchanged before, but do feel that our home would be a very attractive destination for anyone who delights in beautiful scenery and great weather...so we are open to other exchange options after our Portland trip.

We are on a hillside, just a few blocks from the beach. Laguna Beach is very picturesque, offering wonderful vistas and a charming village with many art galleries and shops. Summertime brings the famous Pageant of the Masters to Laguna, along with several art festivals. Water sports, wonderful dining and the fun Laguna nightlife make this a very popular tourist destination.
