Notre maison

Our house was self built within the past 5 years. It is on a sloping quiet site in a conservation area and has, on the downstairs, utility, kitchen, bathroom, attached garage, atrium, bedroom/computer room, lounge and conservatory with large outside deck area. The upstairs contains bathroom, 3 large sized bedrooms and small gallery.
It is a non-smoking and shoeless house with wooden and slate floors downstairs on underfloor oil fired heating. Upstairs is fully carpeted with conventional radiators. Hot water is supplied via electric or oil fired burner.
Unfortunately it is unsuitable for the disabled.
A medium sized well stocked garden is to the rear surrounded by woodland: a very nice place to stay!

Quartier

The village of Rosemarkie sits on the Moray Firth on the Black Isle. There is the adjacent village of Fortrose within 1 mile. The sandy and shingle beach is 200m away.
There is a par 71 18 hole golf course, an excellent sailing club, indoor and outdoor bowls, all weather tennis courts, horse riding and marked walks. Further afield is a flying club, canoe club, pools, leisure centres, ski lifts and gondolas.
The city of Inverness 15 miles south has all the usual amenities; shopping, leisure and tourism. It is served by a national airport with cheap carrier connections to Belfast, Edinburgh and London.
There are good bus connections to Inverness and National Carriers to various locations from there. Train services extend direct to London Kings Cross.
A car will take you to all parts of the Highlands, the roads are mostly of good quality and not so busy. You'll like the occasional single track road!
