Notre maison

"Howe's House" is a three bedroom mountain log home nestled in the pines on two and a half acres in Red Feather Lakes in northern Colorado (not near downhill ski areas but near cross country skiing). It has a large kitchen with microwave. There are large picture windows in the dining area and in the living room. The house has two bathrooms, one with a shower. It has a master bedroom and two bedroom areas in the loft (two queen beds and two single beds). It has a wood burning fireplace plus electric baseboard heating with zone control.
Home available in fall, winter, or spring (Sept. through May).

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am a retired school teacher, 60 years old, and am currently enjoying being part of a ceramics guild. I lived in Mexico as a child and speak Spanish and English. A few years ago I took my first trip over seas and visited Spain, which I loved, and now I'd like to see more of the world, especially Europe. I enjoy hiking, reading, bicycling, flying sailplanes, canoeing, gardening, guitar, and singing.

Our vacation home is a ten minute walk from the national forest. It is part of a private community that has over eighty miles of maintained dirt roads and a 78 acre lake. Fishing and non motorized boats are allowed on the lake. While walking along the roads and trails you might see deer, elk, moose, coyotes, or even a bobcat (two ran by my picture window one day). The area has restaurants, grocery stores, library with internet access, gift shops, golf, horse back riding, cross country skiing, sledding, ice skating, paddle boating for kids, and hiking trails. A half hour drive to the next canyon is a "wild and scenic" river with rafting, canoeing and kayaking. A fourty five minute drive takes you to the city of Fort Collins.
