Notre maison

This 1872 shingled farmhouse sits on 2 acres of land just north of the village of Springs with views and access to Accabonac Bay. An extensive remodel in 1992 was designed by William Reese of Southampton and built by Wright Construction of Bridgehampton. There are nearly 2000 sq. ft. of living area, with 4 bedrooms and 3 baths. The master bedroom on the ground floor has it's own outside door. A large living room with fireplace, a study with piano and a large kitchen/dining area with skylights complete the ground floor. There are 2 porches and a large deck surrounding the house. There are three bedrooms on the second floor. The large bedroom has an adjacent bathroom and a large deck with access by an outside stairway. The two small bedrooms each have trundle beds. Total accommodation is for up to eight people. All bedrooms are air-conditioned. A basement and utility area is accessible from the side of the house. A new heated 18'x45' pool is located just off the rear deck from which views of Accabonac Bay can be enjoyed. An outside shower is near the pool. While the bay frontage has been deeded to The Nature Conservancy, access to the bay is maintained over an easement, and a canoe is available at the house. The backyard has apple and pear trees, and a large field extending down to cedar and bayberry at the bay. This quiet and private setting makes for excellent wildlife viewing, and is adjacent to the Pollack-Krasner House and Study Center.
