Notre maison

Our home is sunny and bright with a roomy and comfortable feel. It was built as a custom home in 1994. It has two-stories with a full bath on each floor. We have it set up as two large bedrooms and a large study. The downstairs sunroom could be used for relaxing, exercise (we have an elliptical trainer machine that can stay or be removed), or additional sleeping space. We have two queen size beds and one inflatable twin mattress. The back yard has a large, raised back deck overlooking the lawn, garden and forest.

Ruth works in the public schools and Jeff is on the graduate faculty at the School for International Training. We have two grown sons who live in the area. We are both from San Diego and would like to be there during our winter school breaks (December-January) so as to spend time with aging parents. But we've lived in Africa and traveled all over the world, so we're open to other proposals as well! (A location where there is excellent paragliding would be a real plus.)

We live in rural neighborhood of nine houses, each having an acre or more. Brattleboro, a small but dynamic town of 13,000 (with lots of art and music and live, local theater) is 10 minutes away. In the winter you can snow shoe or cross country ski from our backyard and we are close (from a few minutes to one hour) to several excellent ski (downhill and cross country), golf and paragliding resorts. We are surrounded by lakes, rivers, mountains and rural roads for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and biking (our snow shoes, canoes, kayaks and bikes are available to guests).
