Our home is located on a tree lined street in the historic Edgewood section of Cranston, Rhode Island ten minutes from the capital city of Providence, Rhode Island. Rhode Island's central location in the New England states offers convenience of travel to all other areas of New England and New York including cities such as Boston, Massachusetts and New York City.

The quiet neighborhood is within walking distance to delightful restaurants and a lovely park at the end of the cul de sac.

Our home is spacious and comfortable with a shaded outdoor patio with a barbecue. The conservatory is a relaxing, breezy place to read or have coffee and breakfast.

The first level offers an eat in kitchen with dishwasher, electric stove, microwave and refrigerator. A formal dining room, living room, kitchen and one bathroom are on the first floor. Two bedrooms and two full bathrooms are on the second level. There is a washer and dryer in the basement.

There is a large driveway offering off street parking.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband and I are newly retired professionals Joe was a corporate tax manager & I was an art teacher. We enjoy traveling year round and have spent much of our time living aboard our sailboat while traveling the eastern seaboard of the United States and Bahamas. We are non smokers and we are very meticulous about our home. Since we spend so much time living aboard we are able to exchange our home non simultaneously.

We enjoy visiting historic areas with cultural opportunities. I am a classical guitarist and we love music venues and listening to local music. Dining opportunities are also important to us and we enjoy sampling local cuisine. We have decided to give this site a try since we prefer to live with locals when traveling. We find it is a more authentic travel experience.

My husband and I successfully experienced our first home exchange in July, 2015. We spent the month in the Charente Region of France in a country home. It was a wonderful trip and an excellent exchange experience.
In July 2016 we exchanged for the second time in Bologna, Italy. It too was an unforgettable experience. We look forward to future exchanges in various countries in Europe and elsewhere. During the summer of 2017, we exchanged a third time in Hilversum, Netherlands where we embraced the Dutch culture by enjoying bicycling nearly everyday to nearby scenic towns.

Our neighborhood is quiet and pleasant with right of way access to Roger Williams Park and Zoo. The conveniences of grocery shopping and world class restaurants are within walking distance or minutes by car.

Historic Pawtuxet Village with its fine restaurants, bistros, pastry shops and ice cream parlor are a short stroll away. Narragansett Bay, the jewel of Rhode Island is two blocks from our home. Sailing, fishing and kayaking are minutes from our home.

The ocean beaches of Newport, Rhode Island are a short 35 minute ride away. Block Island, RI is a spectacular offshore Island twelve miles off the mainland accessible by ferry and only an hour from the mainland.
