Charlottesville is the historic town where Thomas Jefferson lived at Monticello and designed the beautiful University of Virginia.
Charlottesville is an international city with a high degree of culture - galeries, museums, restaurants, concerts, theatre, lectures, cafes on a downtown pedestrian mall.

From Charlottesville, there are views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are 2.5 hours from Washington DC and the Atlantic Ocean (Virginia Beach area), 1 hour from Richmond, 2.5 hours from Williamsburg. Only 30 minutes to the mountains!
I would be happy to put guests in touch with Americans here who are members of the Alliance Francaise and who speak French; they enjoy getting to know French-speakers.
