Notre maison

Our friends have said that our home has a good, clear, peaceful energy and is cozy. Our home is simple, yet comfortable and well decorated. It's a two-level, three bedroom, two bath townhome, an end unit with a fenced-in wrap-around yard. The first level has a bedroom, which serves as my husband's music studio (equipped with piano, guitars and several percussion instruments as well as a full size futon), a full bath, a very functional complete kitchen and a cozy living room with wood fireplace and sliding doors into the back yard. Upstairs is a spacious master bedroom with king size bed and open sunny space for reading, yoga, exercise, etc. and a great view of our 13,000ft Mt. Sopris. As well, we have a nice size second bedroom and a full bath upstairs. We have a one car garage which houses outdoor gear for all seasons as well as a 4WD wagon for your use. We are also a few blocks from bus transit to Aspen/Snowmass or Glenwood Springs.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband Jimmy is a musician and professional teacher of piano and guitar. I, Christina ("Pixie") am a massage therapist. We are the parents of our amazing son, River who is three in Feb, 2008. We spend a lot of time working being with River, and playing outdoors. We have a large community of young families that we spend time with which makes it especially hard to relocate permanently to the tropics, which I, Pixie, sometimes desire. Thus, we hope to swap homes for a month (give or take) during the winter. If it's successful, we would do it every year or even for a year!!

Carbondale, CO is becoming one of the country's top towns to live in for outdoor enthusiasts. (I did read that in some kind of outdoor magazine)! We are located in the Roaring Fork Valley, just 35 minutes down river from Aspen/Snowmass, 25 minutes from Sunlight SKi Area, 15 min from awesome XC ski trails, 5 min from a public outdoor ice-skating "rink", and 15 min from the world's largest hot springs pool.
Hiking/Snowshoeing are within a five min drive. Convenient to all this outdoor adventure, yet away from the pretention and busy-ness of a tourist ski town. Home to an international solar energy school(SEI), a sustainable farm, an amazing Waldorf School, a local radio station, a wonderful historic main street dotted with outdoor art, galleries, a gem of a little music venue called Steve's Guitars, a one show movie theatre that features mostly award-winning independent films, several excellent restaurants (to which Aspenites travel down to dine), a small food co-op and awesome healers, massage therapists and yoga. Meanwhile, Carbondale maintains it's small town feel under the reign of Mt. Sopris (you'll know it when you see it!)The people here are one of the reasons we live here-- friendly, open, active and progressive-minded. Our home is a half mile from old town and two blocks to the market.
