Notre maison

My home is comfortable and warm, with many unique artistic elements, including a large (Mozart themed) mural in the hallway. It is a split level home with a newly remodeled upstairs hallway featuring french doors which open to a large art studio and an adjacent bedroom with a king sized bed. The main level has an eat-in kitchen with a very nice reading nook and a livingroom with large sliding glass doors that lead to a large backyard that has many trees and is rich in wildlife. The livingroom sofa has a hide-a-bed which can sleep two and the studio can be arranged to sleep two. There are two landscaping projects in progress in the front and back yards. Both projects will be completed by Summer or Fall of 2007. The lower level has been made into a small apartment and is being rented by a very nice and quiet couple in their early thirties. They have their own separate entrance.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am a fun loving, but mostly quiet, 50 year old professional artist. I am single (divorced after 22 years of marriage) and plan to travel by myself or possibly with a good friend. I am a vegetarian, a non smoker, and I like to meditate and listen to music (often classical). I have never done a house trade before. I am primarily interested in this venture because I have been invited to exhibit my work in the Florence Biennale (which is from Dec.1 - Dec 9, 2007) and I would need a place to stay in Florence. I have also been interested in seeing Salzburg and Prague (to follow in Mozart's footsteps!) and am thinking about journeying there in the Spring.

I live "in the neighborhood" and within walking distance of a large grocery store and shopping center. I also live very close to the bus lines and bike paths and hiking trails. You can walk up the road from my house and get into the foothills very easily and there are numerous very beautiful hiking trails. Boulder has an amazing number of bike paths and it is really delighful to see Boulder while on a bike or on rollerblades from the bike paths. And Boulder is small enough that I can get from one side of Boulder to the other on rollerblades in about 45 minutes (much faster on a bike). It is about a 10 minute drive from my house to the popular tourist attraction, the beautiful downtown Pearl Street Mall (pedestrian mall), with its many fine restaurants and gift/clothing stores.
My house is also about 40 minutes from the closest ski resort, with a number of other ones about an hour and a half away, and still others 2 or 4 hours away. Vail is 2 hours, Aspen is 4 hours.
Denver is a 25 - 30 minute drive or a 1 hour bus ride. Very easy to get to and lots to do in Denver.
