Notre maison

Our home is cozy, but spacious, well lit with a back deck, front porch, and a private backyard. We have a large, sunny kitchen, adjoining den with wood stove, and living room. Our second floor includes 4 sizable bedrooms with windows, a full bath, and office area. We have a DVD player, VCR, toaster, keyboard, stereo,drum set, and yoga mats. We have two canoes, two single kayaks, and one double kayak, and quick access to several lakes, ponds, and rivers, which are also great for swimming.

We are a family of five. Tom and Lisa are in their early 50s and love bike riding, hiking, skiing and being outdoors. Lisa is a high school English teacher and Tom is an engineer. Will is 19 and loves music and movies. Kate is 18 and spends most of her time dancing, singing, and traveling. She plans on traveling to Ecuador next year to volunteer. Claire is 13 and loves gymnastics and snowboarding. We have two dogs and a cat, who can be cared for if you do not want them to live in the house when you visit.

We live in a friendly, quiet neighborhood in small-town New England. We are within a 15 minute drive or walk of lakes, ponds, rivers, forest and small mountains with trails for hiking. We have a one-acre backyard with gardens, fruit trees, and lots of open space. We are within a 5 minute walk of tennis and basketball courts, a small skate park, playground, and playing fields. We have a local bakery, inn and restaurant, cafe, pub, ice cream shop, farm stand, gas station, library, and markets. We are within a 15 minute drive of a supermarket, movie theater, local art gallery, and small shops. If you want to venture farther, we are within two hours of White Mountain National Park, the Ocean and beaches, and the city of Boston. New York City is about 5.5 hours away by car.
