Notre maison

Comfortably furnished, homey, clean, hardwood floors with area rugs, with a cozy, covered patio/terrace off the entry area and accessible from the master bedroom. There is a lovely separate dining room with seating for 8, and a small table for 2 in the kitchen. The kitchen is older-style (no dishwasher or garbage disposal), but has old-world charm and is easy to work in. A queen size bed is in the main bedroom, a double bed in another, and a single bed in a 3rd smaller bedroom which has the computer with high speed internet access, and the T.V. This is a home that people always love to come to.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am divorced with 2 sons, 22 and 27, one is in his last year at San Diego State University, and the older one lives and works in Pasadena. I have been a teacher for 21 years, the first 18 years teaching English as a Second Language at a community college, and the last 3 as a kindergarten teacher. I love to travel, have done allot over my lifetime, but this will be the first home exchange experience. I love new adventures, and I am really looking forward to enjoying and exploring Croatia. My traveling companion is a close friend I have known since college (roommate!), and also was a kindergarten teacher.

This is a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, with a nearby park, and the San Gabriel Mountains with many moderate, day-hiking trails. The local small town shopping area of Altadena, with all the basic amenities, is a 2 minute drive and a 10 minute walk down the hill. A 10 minute drive will take you to Old Town Pasadena, a lively walking area loaded with shops, restaurants, bookstores, theaters, and more…something to please all ages. In addition, Pasadena has 2 high quality art museums, a botanical garden, and the famous Rose Bowl (New Year’s Day) that also has a public swimming pool and golf course. Freeway access is equally close, linking you to downtown Los Angeles and many day trip outings such as the beaches and Disneyland, to name just 2. Unusual to most of southern California, Pasadena is also metro-linked to surrounding areas.
