Notre maison

Our house is a spacious welcoming family cottage (with lots of original features) where we have lived happily with our 4 children for 20 years. It would be a comfortable and convenient place to stay for any age of traveller with plenty to do in the house and garden.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Paul is a retired Drama teacher studying for a doctorate and Julia a teacher of Adult Education and Family Learning. We have done many swaps all over Europe and in England and Wales and enjoyed them all enormously. Those who have exchanged with us seem to have been very happy staying in our house too. We will probably travel with our 2 youngest children this year - Leo, 20, and Seth 17. They are both well behaved!

We live just at the bottom of Gold Hill, a very famous and beautiful landmark. The house is in a very picturesque street near shops but also near lots of wonderful countryside. The neighbourhood is welcoming and helpful. There are plenty of historic and artistic attractions nearby and many places specially set up to have a good day out with or without children. There is a good range of different sorts of restaurants and pubs to eat in nearby. The spectacular Dorset coast is 50 mins away and London is 2 hours by train. Salisbury, Bath and Poole are all less than an hour away.
