Notre maison

Our lovely house overlooking the sea and is situated at the top of the picturesque fishing village of Solva on the South Western tip of Wales. At the top of the house we have just finnished refurbishing two ensuite double bedrooms which we normally use for bed and breakfast letting. On the first floor are a further three bedrooms (one double two single), a large family bathroom, an office, a well equipped kitchen with dining area and a large sitting room off which is a balcony overlooking the sea. The garden is large enough and there is room for off-road parking plus a garage. At the far end of our house is a self-contained one bedroom annexe.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are newly retired couple whose children have more or less moved away. We havnt' done a home exchange before but want to travel and have always liked the idea of a house-swap. We have always been envolved with sailing and own an elderly 28ft yacht plus a dinghy. We enjoy any outdoor activities especially sailing, walking and skiing.

Ideally situated for those looking for a peaceful holiday with stunning coastal path walking. There are several acclaimed beaches and lots of small coves. The fiord-like Solva harbour is 10 minutes walk from our house. The smallest cathedral city in UK, St Davids, is three miles down the road. There are numerous pubs and restaurants nearby but no clubs etc. The nearest cinemas and larger shops are in Haverfordwest, twelve miles distant. The winter months, October to March, are fabulously dramatic with frequent wind and rain but great for cliff walking and stimulating the senses and makes coming back to the open fire and cosy house all the more wonderful!
