Notre maison

Our house in Oxford is a charming, cosy Victorian two storey terrace house built in 1889. The house forms part of a terrace lined street in West Oxford approx. 0.6kms to the Oxford railway station and approx. 1.00km to the centre of this historic city.
On the ground floor is a well appointed kitchen with easy access to the open plan dining/loungeroom and to the garden outside. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom. The master bedroom is roomy and the second bedroom, although quite a bit smaller accommodates a double bed. A shower over the bath, washbasin and toilet comprises the bathroom.
Walking and cycling to the city are viable and enjoyable alternatives to driving or catching the bus as there are walking and cycling routes to the city along the banks of the River Thames from our house. A beautiful, expansive park with a playground is less than a minute's walk from the house, and large convenience stores,(Waitrose, Aldi, and Dunhelm among others) are also located within easy walking distance.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Giovanni(John) and I are both retired teachers. John is also a practising remedial therapist. We love travel, and have enjoyed many trips to Europe in particular, and Asia and U.S.A. We have also enjoyed trekking in New Zealand and Tasmania. We have done one extended house swap to Oxford in 1996 for 12months, a house exchange to Surrey in 2013, for 6 months, and even more recently, during our year in our home in Oxford in 2015, a 3 week exchange to Lyon, France. We thoroughly enjoy being part of the House Exchange community and all the opportunities it has to offer to engage with like minded people.
