Notre maison

We have a typical 3 bed semi detached home, cosy and comfortable with central heating and double-glazing throughout. There's a fair sized enclosed garden at the rear with decking and comfortable garden furniture. We live in a quiet suberb of Newcastle upon Tyne with friendly neighbours, good transport links to the city and 10 minutes drive to the airport, dont worry we are not on the flight path.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We, David and Carol are both retired . We both love walking, visiting places of interest, and eating out, AND spending time with our grandchildren who are now in Thornlands and go to school in Wellington Point south of Brisbane. We were not seasoned travellers but had to bight the bullet when our family moved out to Australia and we have exchanged four times now, three of those with a very nice couple in Cleveland.

We are under 5 minutes walk to regular public transport to the city (10 min journey on a good day). 6km from Newcastle International Airport with cheap flights to Ireland and Europe. 30 minutes drive in any direction gets you into our lovely countryside. Most of Northumberland and Durham and the Roman Wall are within 60 minutes drive and 90 minutes drive will get you to the National Parks in the Cumbrian Lake District, Yorkshire Dales or Yorkshire Moors. Edinburgh is a couple of hours and the city's of Durham and York with their magnificent cathedrals are with easy reach.
If you enjoy walking/sight seeing, we have maps and guidebooks for all of the areas mentioned above.
