Notre maison

This listing is for our family home in the Manor House area of London, just by Finsbury Park. The house is a three bedroom terraced Victorian home with three bedrooms upstairs, two reception rooms downstairs and a long kitchen leading to French windows onto a small garden. The largest bedroom is occupied by my two daughters and is bright and sunny with a pair of bunkbeds in it. We have a double bedroom with a (comfy) futon that overlooks the garden, and there is a third spare room with a comfortable double sofa bed. There are two bathrooms - upstairs has a bath with shower attachment fitted and downstairs has a wet room shower - there are two toilets.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are a family of four, myself, husband Martin and my two daughters Rosa and Pearlie aged 7 and 4. We are looking to drag along Alex, my stepdaughter aged 20 for our holiday this year so we will be a party of 5. I am a psychologist working in the UK public health system (NHS) and my husband works for a London local authority keeping older people and individuals with specific health problems active as well as offering a wee bit of specialist personal training to survivors of strokes and heart disease. We love to travel and the girls had a great time in New York last year visiting friends and love sun and sea holidays as well. We hope that home exchanging will open doors to exciting new places and the people who live there.

Manor House is an area where three London boroughs meet: Hackney, Haringey and Islington. We are a 10 minute walk from Manor House tube station (underground) on the Picadilly Line which means you can access Kings Cross in 20 minutes and central areas like Oxford Street and Picadilly in half an hour. There are also lots of local buses and two local overground train stations in case you are travelling around London, so we have very good transport links. In terms of nightlife, you can (for a truly local experience) take a night bus home from teh West End which stops at the end of the road...

Green Lanes which is a few minutes from our home is an area known for its abundance of Turkish restaurants, which tend to be very good and "cheap as chips"!. There are lots of different restaurants nearby as the area is very multicultural. Crouch End, which is slightly posher, is within easy reach, and there are lots of shops in the Wood Green area as well as a shopping centre.

FInsbury Park is five minute walk away and can offer pleasant walks and frenetic playground experiences depending on your desires! There is also a running track there which is open to the public.
