Notre maison

This gorgeous apartment converted from an old warehouse boasts huge living space (in London terms!) of 1200 sq ft plus a large private balcony and also the use of a stunning riverside terrace. Both bedrooms are spacious with one super king and one king sized beds, fitted wardrobes and study or sitting areas. The master bedroom has a Juliette balcony and an en-suite with bath, loo and basin. Bedroom two is next to a bathroom with shower, loo and basin. Both bathrooms come equipped with heated towel rails, top-class towels - and lots of shelf space! The living room is large and light with a sofa area around the TV, a sofabed and a large dining table and six chairs overlooking the balcony which has solid oak Yask table and benches to seat eight. The kitchen is fully-fitted with washing machine, separate dryer, dishwasher, waste disposal, oven, hob, hood, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker etc. It's a lovely, quiet, light flat with large West-facing windows and balcony. There is gas central heating and abundant hot water. If the British weather allows, you can cross the road to the spacious South-facing riverside terrace or join the friendly locals over a glass of Guinness or a Pimm's on the Prospect of Whitby's terrace. If the weather doesn't allow how about a pie and pint sitting in the friendly front bar or in the back bar overlooking the Thames?

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Andrew and I are middle-aged ballroom dancers. We are very quiet non-smokers, meticulously reliable and fastidiously clean. We would respect and care for your home as if it were one of our own. After several hugely successful exchanges we can provide references to this effect. We try and get away somewhere warm for a few weeks every Jan-Feb but you can stay in our flat at any time to suit you. We run this flat as a holiday let business so have to work round existing bookings.

Please get in touch if you feel that we might be able to work something out. I look forward very much to hearing from you.

Wapping is something of a Londoners' secret. Within walking distance (along the river path) to the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and, slightly further, Borough market, the Globe, Tate Modern and St Paul's Cathedral. A lovely walk is along the riverside path to St Katharine Docks, over Tower Bridge and then along the South Bank to Borough market, Southwark Cathedral, The Golden Hind, London Dungeon, the Globe and the Tate Modern then over the Millennium Bridge to St Paul's cathedral. From here you can take the 100 bus straight back home. If you're feeling fit you can walk on to Westminster and Big Ben and from there anywhere in central London. The other way is historic Limehouse with its pubs (including Gordon Ramsay's acclaimed Narrow) in ancient Narrow Street. Wapping is also ancient and has cobbled streets and converted warehouses. One of London's prime real estate areas it's quiet and safe and surrounded by water - the Thames (we have use of a riverside terrace) on one side and Shadwell Basin the other - it's like an island! Next to the converted warehouse that houses our flat is the Wapping Project with its fabulous restaurant, Wapping Food, and art installations. If you get bored of rubbing shoulders with Times' journalists then step over the road to the old smugglers' inn; the sixteenth century Prospect of Whitby, one of several riverside inns within strolling distance. We can send a link to our holiday lets site which has more information and reviews - please just ask.
