Notre maison

We are a family of five and love our house in West London, which we bought and renovated throughout last year. We've done many home exchanges with my in-laws cottage in the countryside and this is the first time we do it with our new home!

Our house was meticulously refurbished and is full of light, especially in the living room, with a 8m french doors facing our garden, its lawn and huge trees. Upstairs there are four bedrooms (two bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and a power shower in the first floor, a bedroom with ensuite bathroom, a bedroom and a laundry room in the second floor.

There are wood floors in the entire house. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a professional oven and decorated with moroccan tiles. The bedrooms are very comfortable, the ensuite bedroom has a Tempur double mattress and one of the bedrooms in the first floor has a double bed too.

Our house is in Chiswick, a chic and friendly neighbourhood with really excellent local shops, dozens of cafés, restaurants (French, Japanese, Thai, Italian, Indian, Turkish, Chinese...) a truly authentic and lovely old pub (The Tabard), bookshops...
All these places are a 8 min walk from the house, in Turnham Green Terrace, where you also have the tube (District Line, and Piccadilly Line, 9 min from Earls Court). There is also good bus service, and with the 94 you'll get to Hyde Park and Oxford Street very quickly.

We love to stay in our garden, especially in the summer for a nice barbecue.

As we have four bikes (3 adult size, one child size) you could go for a ride to the Thames in 20 min and enjoy the view and the very charming old pubs facing the river, or to Kew Gardens, the famous Royal Botanic Garden, one of the most pleasurable places in London. Or to Chiswick House, a lovely park, perfect for a picnic.
