Notre maison

Our home is a recently decorated 3 bedroom Victorian terrace built in the 1880's. The main bedroom overlooks the garden and has a double bed. There is a large front bedroom with a single bed and a third bedroom with a single bed and a futon. The bathroom is large and spacious and there is a second, separate toilet next to it. We have a well equipped kitchen where we eat. There is a living room with an open fire and an additional room that is used as a studio. The garden has a table and chairs and is quiet and shaded. We have very nice neighbours and good links to public transport.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are an English couple in our early fifties. We have 2 boys aged 12 and 16. I am a primary school art teacher and an artist and my partner is a stained glass artist.

We live in a quiet residential part of Hackney. This is a vibrant, multicultural area of north east London, not far from the City, that has many good restaurants, bars, cinemas, music venues and markets. There are excellent bus and train links to the centre of London; Oxford Street and the West End being only 30 minutes away by train and tube. We are 20 minutes by bus from Islington and 10 minutes from Stoke Newington. We live within 15 mins walking distance of the 2012 Olympic site and are only several minutes walk from the River Lea and Hackney marshes, an extensive area of parks, reservoirs, grassland and cycleways, with horse riding and canoeing facilities available. It is possible to cycle, or walk, unimpeded, south along the river to Canary Wharf, and north towards Epping Forest and into Hertfordshire.
