Notre maison

Spacious and comfortable family home in Inverness, old with lots of character! We have 2 lounges, a large dining kitchen and 5 bedrooms available. The lounge has an open fire and the snug has a woodburning stove. The garden is secluded and has a trampoline and climbing frame, good for children to play and for adults to relax. Plenty of books, toys and DVDs are available, also bikes and a Canadian canoe. Car swap is also an option.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Ken and Dot Walker, (a surgeon and an artist) in our forties with 3 children, aged 16,14 and 9. We've been in Inverness 8 years and love it! We love the easy access to the countryside and love biking, canoeing and skiing. I am never stuck for inspiration to paint! We each make music and our daughter is involved in the traditional music scene in Inverness. Our teenage girls are horse crazy and competent in horse care so if you have horses or have riding nearby we would be delighted to hear from you! in fact any kind of animal care would be a welcome addition to our holiday! We've travelled extensively (work and pleasure) and love to explore new places. We completed our first exchange this year to France, it was a great success from both sides.

We are 20mins walk from Inverness town centre and 10 mins walk from the river Ness, which runs through the picturesque city. It's not like a city really, more like a town. It has some nice restaurants, pubs and amenities, and at most times of year there is traditional music to be found. There is an excellent aquadome/ sports centre within walking distance. Inverness sits at the top end of Loch Ness and is the perfect spot from which to explore the Highlands. We are surrounded by stunning scenery, from beautiful white beaches (the nearest is 20 mins drive away), to the Caingorm mountains. Mountain biking, horseriding, climbing, hillwalking, and canoeing are all easily accessible. Dolphins can often be spotted from a nearby beach. Cairngorm ski resort is 45 minutes drive away, there is usually skiing until around the end of April if the weather is good.
