Notre maison

We live in a large 4 storey, 4 bedroom townhouse in the heart of Kensington. It is a short stroll to one of London's most beautiful parks, Kensington Gardens, with Hyde Park next to it. One of the bedrooms has a kingsize bed,one has a bed which can be two singles or a kingsize, one has a cabin bed and one has a single bed. There is a large living room with flat screen TV, Bose sound dock, and stereo, a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room where all the family can eat (the table seats 10 easily), a large family bathroom and a separate shower room. The garden is typical of central London and is fully paved with a large gas barbecue.

The house is ideally situated for exploring central London with a only short walk to both London buses and the tube (metro). Kensington High Street, Knightsbridge, and Westfield shopping centre are all within easy reach and the Natural History and Science museums are both an 8-1in walk away.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Claire and Mark and have 3 children aged 8-14. We are both professionals (before kids came along, Claire was a high school teacher and before becoming a vicar Mark was a corporate lawyer), committed Christians and have recently moved into our 40s. We love travelling but have not done a home exchange before. We are keen to try what sounds a great way to see another country as a resident - and allow someone to see ours. We would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know you via email first to see how best we can facilitate your stay in the UK. Unfortunately, Mark is allergic to cats so we won't be able to exchange with anyone who has cats.

Kensington is arguably one of the most attractive parts of London and has an enormous amount on offer nearby. Apart from the many shops on the nearby high street, there are numerous excellent restaurants, the Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Palace and gardens, Hyde Park, Notting Hill and the famous Portobello Road Market all within walking distance from our house. The local tube stations provide easy access to the west end and the City and the A4 road which heads out west to the M4 and Heathrow airport is a short walk away.
