Notre maison

Our home is a comfortable Edwardian (1905) house. We've lived here for 25 years and have renovated it sympathetically. Downstairs - lounge, dining-room, kitchen, sun-room and toilet. Upstairs - 2 double bedrooms - one with queen-size bed, and one with superking or two single beds; one single bedroom and the bathroom with bath and separate shower. Our favourite room for most of the year is the sun-room, from which we can enjoy our peaceful garden.

Car exchange preferred.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. Mary and I are enjoying our retirement very much. Mary was a teacher and I was an architect. We both love travelling and, having no children, are making the most of our freedom.
We have been exchanging houses for 25 years and have had only positive experiences. What we love about it is how it gives us the opportunity to visit and stay in places we would never see as an "ordinary" tourist.

We live in a quiet suburb, three miles south of Glasgow city centre. The local train station is just a few minutes' walk from the door, with regular services to Central Station. The nearest bus stop is also a few minutes away, with regular buses to the City Centre and West End (Glasgow University, Kelvingrove Museum etc.) Pollok Country Park with Pollok House, Burrell Collection and Highland cattle is a nearby attraction. There are local shops, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants within walking distance.
Glasgow is a large, vibrant city with a wealth of museums, galleries, parks, shops, restaurants, pubs etc. It recently hosted the Commonwealth Games and is regularly voted a top city break destination in the U.K.
It is ideally situated for touring Scotland. There are good road and rail links to the Highlands and Islands, the Clyde Coast, the Borders, Perthshire and the East Coast, St. Andrews and Fife. Loch Lomond and Edinburgh (a must see) can both be reached in an hour.
