Notre maison

Very attractive flat with amazing views up and down Royal Mile and across to Princes St.It is extremely comfortable, light and airy. It is well supplied with everything from linen and towels to hair-drier to washer/drier etc. Also has lift and security system plus concierge all day.

The apartment is in a sandstone Gothic style building and has an elegant clean line feel inside.It is light and airy and very pleasant and comfortable. It is a holiday home. It is a fun place to stay.

There is a lift to the apartment which is on the third floor. There are three steps on the way to the flat. It has a good-sized hallway with the living area {sofa bed}, bathroom kitchen and double bedroom off the hall. There are stairs down to a double bedroom which also has a single bed so is suitable for two singles, and a bathroom.

  1. I have just retired and my husband is still working. I have worked as a social worker and have been very involved with voluntary organisations particularly in the mental health field. My latest work was in an advice centre.
    This flat is available most dates apart from New Year and a week in November. We would like to spend some time in London near family and would want to be in or near Kennington. A week would be minimum desired stay. This could be in school breaks but any dates could suit.
    We actually live in Ayr on the West Coast and could offer holiday swap here. We have a cottage recently refurbished in the garden of our family home so any dates do for that.
    If a swap were abroad the desired stay would probably need to be longer possibly 2 week minimum but all options considered.

In centre of the Old Town near to castle etc and 5 minutes from Princes St and shops,it has good transport links with an excellent bus service, easy access to railway and airport bus, plus access to various Edinburgh and Scottish Tours. Also is near to museums, art galleries theatres and usual city amenities like shopping restaurants etc.
There is a park nearby at Princes St Gardens.There is generally lots on for children of all ages.Edinburgh is very compact so that amenities are easy to access, for instance the Commonwealth Pool which has lots of water "extras" and a soft play facility is within easy access. In the run up to Christmas there is a fairground in Princes St and an open-air skating rink plus a German Market. This is five minutes away.
