Notre maison

A detatched bungalow that is light, uncluttered and a warm and easy home to be in. All on one level with a sunny lounge overlooking the sheltered garden.and a small T.V. lounge at the front of the house. There is 1 comfortable double bedroom, a bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet and an uncomplecated kitchen. There is easy parking on the wide drive and a nippy but fairly ancient, little car for you to explore the glorious south coast of England.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband Graham and I have lived here in Eastbourne for the past 25 years. We love it's gentle pace of life and the relaxed lifestyle of living here. We both retired a couple of years ago from the hotel business and now enjoy our garden and travelling abroad. Our two kids have grown and flown the nest. Robin, my son is a wine maker for Patz and Hall in the Sonoma Valley, California and he lives in Sabastopol. My daughter Sarah, lives up in London where 2 small children keep her and her partner unbelievably busy. We are new to house exchange but we are at a time in our life when it would be nice to just take a step back from work and find out just what else might be out there. I am a big reader and I like to write and Graham likes the sunshine and taking in the local area. We are both 67 and thankfully still fit and healthy and non smokers.

A quiet neighborhood, with pretty gardens in a really safe area. Eastbourne is a walkers paradise with access to the rolling South Downs and stunning Beachy Head just 3 miles away. Eastbourne Marina is within half a mile of the house with shops and a Wallmart supermarket adjacent. Eastbourne boasts three beautiful golf courses, three theatres and a promenade and pier that are among the best preserved in the country. The promenade along the sea front boasts a band stand and little cafes where over a coffee you can sit and watch the world go by. There are restaurants catering for almost every taste within easy reach and all are reasonably priced. For those who wish to explore the local area pretty villages and old world country pubs are within a short drive. London is just 60 miles away and there is a half hourly train service right into the heart of the Capital. Brighton with it's fascinating mix of modern up-market shops and winding historic lanes is just 18 miles away and there is a regular half hourly train service to the centre of this exciting bustling town by the sea. Historic Rye and Hastings are just an hour away by car.
