Notre maison

***Looking for Spain in May, Scotland in June and Canada from October please**** Our cottage is homely and warm, great for snuggling in on winter evenings or use the large enclosed garden on sunny days.

It has been lovingly restored to ensure the character of the property is retained. Features of interest include slate floors, inglenook fireplace and roll topped bath.

It is rented out as a holiday home until the beginning of November 2013. Guests who have stayed there have left the following comments:-

  1. Michelle 38 & Tony 43 with no children but with family friendly home to swap. We have travelled extensively from South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, lots of Europe, Australia and USA. We are from the UK but we lived in Finland for the last 4 years and now we are renovating a property in France. Currently on sabbatical until the end of 2014.

    We are looking for exchanges in the beginning of 2014 only.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery and recharge your batteries, or be active! there's 100s of walking routes to suit all tastes and abilities and many from our doorstep.

The award winning historic market town of Tavistock is 7 miles away. A town with very pleasing architecture, traditional stores, tearooms and crafts. This ancient stannary town, on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, also has a wide choice of restaurants and pubs, a bustling pannier market and a leisure centre with indoor swimming pool.

Plymouth, a vibrant waterfront city packed full of attractions, is 14 miles away. Wander the Barbican’s quaint cobbled quayside following in the Pilgrim Father’s footsteps or visit the National Marine Aquarium with its deepwater fish tanks or sample Plymouth’s finest export at the Blackfriars Gin Distillery. You can go out on the water by taking a floating tour of Drake’s Island, the Naval Dockyards and River Tamar, booking a behind the scenes tour of Devonport Naval Base or sticking your own paddle in the water at Mountbatten Watersports Centre

There are numerous quaint old Dartmoor pubs with locally brewed Dartmoor beer, and cider and of course pasties, cream teas and even fish & chips!

The village of Yelverton is 2 minutes away, it has a range of shops including a small supermarket, award winning butchers, newsagent, post office, chemist, café, hairdressers and beauty salon and a garage.
