Notre maison

Our home is situated in a typical Victorian terrace. The house has many traditional features, a classic home with an ethnic twist. It is very warm and cosy with an open fire and an open plan living area with a country cottage style kitchen. It has a traditional roll top bath in the bathroom and a small garden to rear which has a heated log cabin with a double bed. The street is very quiet but just a short walk from the town centre.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Hem and Marion, a married couple with three daughters one at university and two smaller children aged 12 and 1. We are both professionals (teacher and nurse) and love adventure when ever we can get away. We have done a couple of home exchanges before and are keen to try others - and allow someone to see ours. We are very friendly and will endeavour to do all we can to ensure that you have a fabulous holiday. We are keen to hear from any one and will consider anywhere we haven't visited before, so just give us a try!!

Ideally located as a touring base, our town offers easy access to the cities of London, Cambridge, and Norwich; London in just 45 mins by train. On the outskirts of the town is the Zoo, one of the best in the country. Just 15 mins walk away is the town center with a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Colchester is the oldest recorded town and has a host of tudor buildings to admire as well as a Norman Castle and modern Art Gallery. Just 30 mins by train is Westfield the largest shopping Mall in Europe. There are many beautiful villages to explore just 5 miles out of town into Suffolk. If you fancy a dip in the sea you need only drive 20 miles to explore a variety of typical seaside towns complete with fish and chips and ice cream.
