In addition to a traditional country pub, a cricket pitch and bowling green, the village offers the Cafe de La Post, selling fresh croissants, capuccinos and home made soups; an award winning delicatessen; and a butcher to which people come from miles around.

The village is about 30 minutes drive from Oxford (15 minutes by train), 40 minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company), and just over one hour by train to London.
