Notre maison

Ours is a charming Cotswold home, light and airy, but full of period details such as oak beams and flagstone floors. We have three large comfortable bedrooms, with views from the windows to an 11th century church and across open countryside. There is a large dine-in kitchen and a cosy living room with wooden floors and a wood burning stove. There are two bathrooms and a large book-filled study with computer and internet access.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. I am a University lecturer. My wife works as a physiotherapist at our local hospital. We have a teenage daughter, aged 14, who attends school in Bourton-on-the Water. A lively and very friendly Labradoodle, called Ruggles, completes the family. We love living in the country but are also very open to experiencing the buzz of the city every once in a while.

Situated in a typical Cotswold village in an area which has officially been classified as one of outstanding natural beauty. In addition to a traditional country pub, a cricket pitch and bowling green, the village offers the Cafe de La Post, selling fresh croissants, capuccinos and home made soups; an award winning delicatessen; and a butcher to which people come from miles around.

There are miles of bridleways for walking and cycling from right outside the front door and the Oxfordshire way runs through the village.

The village is about 30 minutes drive from Oxford (15 minutes by train), 40 minutes from Stratford-upon-Avon (birthplace of Shakespeare and home to the Royal Shakespeare Company), and just over one hour by train to London.
