Notre maison

Our home is a 4 bedroomed 1930's house in a well connected area of Cardiff, 10-15 minutes to the Centre by bus or quicker by car.

There are 2 double bedrooms, with double beds, and two smaller bedrooms. The first smaller bedroom has 2 single pull out beds with the remaining room being used as an office. We can easily convert it back to a bedroom if you prefer it that way. There's private parking for up to 3 cars out front and a car available if you need one.

We have a large kitchen diner overlooking the large private garden as well as two reception rooms downstairs. There is also a shower room/toilet downstairs as well as a utility room.

We also have a cleaner who can come, if you want, to help with cleaning, washing and ironing.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. My husband & I live and work in Cardiff. We're both self-employed, he's a lawyer and I help run the practice. We love travelling and experiencing life. We're both very into horse riding and the outdoors. I however also like to kick back with a cocktail and a good book a little more than my husband does does.

We're open to pretty much anywhere - try us. We also have a cat, Bha-Nii (our child substitute), so staying chez nous would involve cat feeding. Bha-Nii is not a very needy cat and eats out in the utility room. He would not intrude too much.

The area of Cardiff that we live in, Cyncoed, is a leafy suburb. We have good transport links direct to the City Centre so a car is not essential. It only takes 10-15 minutes to get to the heart of the City and the buses run all day until late in the night. Taxis back to the house from the city centre are very reasonable, not usually more than £10.

We're also about 45 minutes away from the Brecon Beacon Mountain Range if you're into hiking and 20-25 minutes from the Coast. There are lovely beaches (for swimming only in the summer - unless your really tough, and surfing) within an hour's drive. Day trips to the Gower Peninsula near Swansea are also easily done in about an hour.

The scenic Taff Trail starts from Cardiff and we have 2 bikes that you can use during your stay. Bristol Airport is approx. 50 minutes drive away and Cardiff Airport is slightly nearer at approx. 40 minutes away. Cardiff itself as a City grows more vibrant by the minute. Filled with coffee bars, cocktail bars, nightclubs and restaurants both fine cuisine and ethnic cuisine.

For those that enjoy a round or two of golf, the Ryder cup visits Newport this year (30 mins away) and we have a golf course literally 5 minutes from our doorstep and many more to choose from.

Wales really sells itself on being an active outdoors destination (see Here you really get the best of both worlds, access to the city and the country from the comfort of your (sorry, my) home.
