Notre maison

Alexander Cottage was built in the 1860's as a traditional fisherman's cottage. It is situated in the quant seatown area of Gardenstown on the Banffshire Coast, a largely undiscovered area of North-East Scotland. It has a lounge with open fire, dining kitchen, three bedrooms and a delightful outside area where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine while gazing out to Gamrie Bay. It really is a place to come and unwind from the pressures of modern life.
It has 3 bedrooms, lounge with woodburning stove, fully equipped dining kitchen and bathroom. The cottage also has a garden area where you can sit and admire the view.

En savoir plus sur nous

  1. We are Joanna and Stuart and have 2 children Lewis(7) and Fiona(4). We live and work in Aberdeen, and bought the cottage as a holiday home which we also rent out. The cottage is about an hours drive North of Aberdeen but it feels like a world away. We love the peace of the village and the beautiful views.

Localisation

Quartier

Gardenstown is undoubtedly one of the prime seafront villages that lace the Moray Coast. No two days are the same here.
A low tide will reveal a mix of scenic beach and colourful rock pools, contrasted by a high tide bringing waves crashing onto the fisherman's cottages along the seafront.
The area is the ideal place to get away from it all, hence it's popularity with artists and nature lovers.
For the more active there are numerous golf courses, diving sites and pleasant walks.
In the village there is a post office, grocer's shop, pub, restaurant and two Art Galleries.
Gardenstown is situated in the next bay to Pennan which was used as the location for the film "Local Hero".
The nearest towns are Banff/Macduff which are 7 miles away.
Aberdeen Airport is approximately 45 miles away.
